On Monday, June 29, First Interstate Properties hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Hyatt Place at Legacy Village in Lyndhurst, Ohio. As Lyndhurst’s first hotel, it is expected to open in June 2016 in time for the Republican National Convention.

Perspectus is pleased to serve as architect of record to design and develop the new six-story hotel and 335-space parking garage. Senior Project Director Eric Lahrmer, AIA is the lead architect for the project.
The project sits on the north side of the suburban shopping complex. The exterior of the 135-room Hyatt Place will feature a combination of red brick and pale blue, gray and tan concrete. Steel accents, reflective blue-tinted windows and a triangular module on the roof give the structure a modern feel.
The main drop-off area will be three cars wide and sit between two entrances to the shopping area. The complex will maintain the feel of Legacy Village and complement the surrounding structures.
