Oakwood Commons is a new suburban shopping center developed by First Interstate Properties.

Perspectus worked closely with First Interstate to create a shopping center that satisfied the design goals of the owner, the community and the tenants. The design complements the anchor tenant, Walmart, while creating a distinct identity.

One of the design challenges was to provide a shopping center that achieved the sustainable goals for the project. The 8,000 square-foot, multiple tenant building is LEED Certified for Core and Shell.

The client’s objectives were met to design a four-sided retail building with strong visibility from Warrensville Center Road while also addressing the views from within the shopping center, giving a strong presence for all building tenants.
