The 6th Floor of Lerner Tower at University Hospitals’ main campus was renovated to create a dedicated hospital space designed to address the specific care needs of joint replacement patients and their families.

Renovations included finish upgrades throughout all patient rooms and public areas, reworking of the existing central support space to provide increased acoustics while maintaining caregiver visibility, addition of electronic charting stations, a New Physical Therapy Treatment Room and a New Patient Education Resource Room.

Space to accommodate the New Physical Therapy Treatment Room was gained by combining the Galley and the Nourishment functions to make available the existing Galley space. The existing Multi-purpose Room and Sleep Room at the Main entry were reconfigured to facilitate the New Patient Resource Room.
