Perspectus Architecture designed a Hyatt Place hotel and parking structure to complement First Interstate Properties’ highly successful upscale lifestyle shopping center, Legacy Village.
Hotel patrons have the benefit of many dining and shopping options providing a mutual benefit to hotel patrons and the retail/restaurants. The hotel includes 135 rooms and is approximately 80,000 square feet while the parking structure includes 370 parking spaces and is approximately 138,000 square feet.
As an existing shopping center, little space was available for the hotel. Constructed on an area that was surface parking, the project needed to replace the parking that was taken and provide additional parking spaces to serve the hotel.
By designing a portion of the hotel to bridge over the ramp, sufficient space was available for a parking structure that meets the parking needs of the hotel and shopping center.
The use of brick masonry and stucco provided just the right materials to be consistent with the existing architecture but unique in a way to provide its own identity.
